NEWS

New dates added to the tour section. Just some regional Texas shows. We've been road testing some newer material and plan to continue to do so. The rest of this year will probably be your last chance to catch some of our older songs as we plan to retire them to make room for some of the newer ones. So catch one or more of the shows and let us know what you think. We'll have what we call a "Constructive Criticism Box" at the merch booth.

ABOUT BUXTON

Buxton, who Esquire.com calls one of "2012 Artists to Watch," continue to tour in support of their New West Records debut album Nothing Here Seems Strange heralded by My Old Kentucky Blog as "a well-realized bouquet of emotive, often beautiful imagery that propels its vistas with visceral energy." Buxton's music is a study in contrasts: rock and folk, subtle yet eccentric, lush harmonies over prickly guitar. Paste explains, "The sound on Nothing Here Seems Strange fluctuates between traditional Americana and a more garagefolk sound that places the album in a larger scope than you'd expect of a folk band."

Buxton, known for their explosive, folk-based rock songs, will kick off a fall tour in Memphis before stops at the Americana Music Association festival in Nashville and Bristol Rhythm and Roots Reunion in Bristol, TN. Buxton will both headline and support hitting major cities including New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Austin and of course their hometown of Houston. Dates include shows with Frontier Ruckus, Chamberlain and The Donkeys (see full listing below.) Buxton's fusion of lovely harmonies, jarring explosions of energy and meticulously applied instrumentation is led by Sergio Trevino on Vocals/Guitar with Jason Willis on lead Guitar/Mandolin, Chris Wise on Bass Guitar, Justin Terrell on Drums and Austin Sepulvado on Guitar/Vocals.
